Summer Time

This was never published from last summer, so I figured I would stick it in here. Since we are quickly approaching summer again, it will be nice to see how much the Ws have changed.



We have been very busy playing, growing, having fun, trying new things and just enjoying the outside. Although it has been very hot here, we have spent as much time as possible outside and usually in the water to help cool off. The Ws are growing so fast, I cant believe it. Wiggle Worm is officially potty trained and both boys are sleeping (together) in a "big boy bed". I should have bit the bullet a long time ago and put them in there together, because it has worked out perfectly. They are now sleeping through the night, going to bed earlier and sleeping later....a momma's dream:) We revamped their room to have a pirate theme and W is in heaven! Snuggle Bug is talking more. He is quite the little ham too. Dada thinks he is a lil prodigy on the drums as well. I guess the apple doesnt fall far from the tree

A Special Day

Back in October, I had the opportunity to attend the opening of the courts in Alabama. I was invited along with my Mom and siblings to go to Montgomery for this special event and a luncheon following. The reason for my attendance...to honor my Dad! So, as I said, it was very special. The courts honored all of the lawyers that were part of the Alabama Bar that had passed away the previous year. The ceremony meant alot to me, especially knowing how important law was to my Dad. The service was very nice. They lit a candle in his honor and served us a wonderful lunch following. So many kind words were said about my Dad. Here are some pictures that captured the day.

October

October was a very tough month because it marked the year anniversary of Dad going to Heaven. We did our best to celebrate his life on the 23rd and continue to focus on all the great memories and person that he was, especially with the boys. I made a flower arrangement with crimson and white flowers for the Tide and an alligator for our book. I also made the boys gator shirts in honor of our book. The boys sent balloons to Poppy in Heaven and we were happy to to spend the day together with our family in Boaz at "Poppy's flower garden". The month of October has always been loved by myself and now W because of the fall weather and for W, Halloween. The boys dressed up as Batman and Robin this year and we trick or treated in Emmie's neighborhood with sweet cousins, Graham and Reid. w continued to enjoy his guitar hour with Brad and began adding "words" to his songs. We also enjoyed trunk or treating at school and visiting the boys classrooms for Open House.

September

We spent much of September adjusting to our new schedule of both boys being in school five days a week + Mama working at school five days a week. W started 3k in Mrs. Farnell's class this year and w started in MDO in the "older ones" with Mrs. Mel and Mrs. Evelyn. It was quite the adjustment for w, but he now loves school and beebops in daily. I was originally in the infant room but since got moved to the twos. We are exhausted come 1:00 every day, but we have been blessed to all be together this year. The boys both love "cheese sandwiches" in their lunch, chicken fingers and w is obsessed with mac n cheese at the moment. This Sept we took several trips to the zoo (which included seeing the new lion cubs), playing Batman at home, watching some Scooby Doo and continuing to have interest in pirates and for w, the start of his love for tractors, trucks and all thinks with four wheels. w's love for music also started about this time. Every night when Brad got home from work they played drums together, which has involved into playing the guitar. So, some pics from our Sept....
