Wiggle Worm's 1st "Sleepover"

While Dada was away looking for "bucks", Wiggle Worm had his first "sleepover" at Emmie and Poppy's. Emmie went all out and had a holiday themed popcorn party and all. Just as any good sleepover would, the party included staying up late and alot of laughing.

What We've Been Up To....

A little of this, a little of that, alot of resting and "nesting"....or atleast trying to. You wouldnt know by the looks of our messy house, but we are trying to prepare for two big events....the birth of Christ and the birth of Wyatt. It is getting close....about 6 more weeks. We cannot believe it!!! We finally got our tree to stand thanks to Brad, Uncle "Do" and Emmie. We are hoping the third time is a charm and it stays standing this time:) Apart from wrapping presents and not cleaning up, we have spent alot of time watching Christmas shows and movies, hanging out with family and playing pirates. The pirates are a part of our every day life. As you can see...they go with us everywhere even to the bathtub. Hope your holidays are shaping up nicely. Back soon with more updates.

Family Tradition

My family has celebrated St. Nicholas' Day since I was little. We have so many special memories from this day of Mom making us special snacks and arranging surprises on tin trays and Santa plates. I continued the tradition of leaving special prizes for Brad once we got married and I now do the same for Worthy.

Mom also went out of her way this year to make the day extra special for the kids. I like celebrating this special saint because he gave to those in need just as Christ did. It helps me to focus on the true meaning of the holidays by keeping things simple. Decemeber 6th is also a special day to me because it was Worthy's due date. Hope everyone's holidays are shaping up nicely and you are finding time to enjoy the simplicity of the season!
