The Simple Things in Life

It's the simple things in life that makes us happy! Worthy has learned that this week. With all the toys and things to play with that he has, the wet wipes and humidifier have been the picks of the week. I thought these were too funny! Check out the hair in the video with the humidifier. This has provided atleast 30 minutes of entertainment the last two days. He got so excited he almost held his breath!

The Mobile Wonder

I have been thinking that Wiggle Worm is going to take off crawling for some time now. Well....he finally did it on Sunday night. Not only that, he is also now pulling up on stuff and last night, he stood up! I am amazed how quickly he took off with his mobility ....it is a true wonder!

A Boy's Best Friend

Worthy has been watching Dharma since he was just a few months old. He has wanted to "get" her for some time now. Dharma hasn't been so sure, so we try to keep distance between them. Well, since Worthy is now "mobile", he made it crawling across the room to her this a.m. I thougth it was so cute. My foot is in the video b/c it was there to intervene if need be.

"First" for September....Whale Sharks, Billy Goat Gruff, Gator Rolls and a Wet Wipes Box

It has been quite an exciting September with many "firsts" for Worthy. He will be 10 months on Thursday, so I thought I might recap this past month, which flew by as usual. We went to the GA Aquarium this weekend. Worthy loved it. He experienced the infamous Whale Sharks among many other fish and water "creatures". His favorite was the Sting Rays that you could touch. He was too little to pet them of course, but he loved watching them swim. He cried and screamed when we left the exhibit, so Brad took him back for another look. His little wrist and ankles rolled the whole time like he does when he is excited. We had a great trip and a much needed break. We also named one of his new moves, the "gator roll" this weekend. He is so squirmy that I can hardly change his diapers these days. He wants to flip over on me....just like a gator. Speaking of being active, Brad had to move his bed down yesterday b/c we recently went in to get him and he was trying to pull up on the sides. I knew b/f long, he would find a way to get out of the bed. He is moving to a sit up position from his stomach, side and back. Our favorite new "first" for the month is our little "Billy Goat Gruff". Worthy has this cute new laugh he does when he is excited and it sounds just like a goat. (Check out the video clip below. (It was taken this a.m. when eating one of his favorite foods). And last but not least....Worthy crawled for the first time this afternoon. He has been rocking back and forth and plunging forward, but he crawled across the room to get the wet wipes box and then again to get Daddy. We were so proud! My Long Lost Buddy

I forget how much Worthy truly loves Claire Bear until we see her on a daily basis. He gets so excited every time we go in to get him up from his a.m. nap and little Claire is standing at the foot of his bed. Today we went to the zoo...yes...I braved the "wild" with both little tots. We had so much fun! They both behaved perfectly. We enjoyed the sea lion show and seeing the "see-bras". We went on a train ride and Claire's face was priceless when we took off and repeated the conductor in saying "all aboard". We ended the day with a bath and play time. The two of them have so much fun together. You would think that Worthy is finding his long lost buddy every time he sees Claire for the first time of the day.

Here Comes the Swing

Backyardigan Cupcakes, New Swings and Sweet Smiles

Well...Thursday was Claire's first official day at "Aunt Julie's Daycare". We had a fun filled day playing and baking. I became very brave and even ventured to the store with both kids. Claire helped me pick out all the needed ingredients for her "Yardigan" cupcakes. She loves the show (for those Moms that watch Nick Jr.), so I found some cupcake papers with the characters on the wrappers and voila...."Yardigan cupcakes...mmmmm" (as told by Claire). Check out the pics of us cooking....Worthy cheered us on, on the sidelines. We spent today resting and doing odds and ends around the house. Brad hung Worthy's new swing in the tree in our front yard. Worthy loves it!!! I predict many of days swinging, especially this fall. Check out his sweet coos and laugh as we swing him for the first time in his new swing. Oh...we also had our regular music class at Gymboree on Friday. Worthy really enjoys it...especially eating the instruments.
